Triethanolamine or T.E.A is a
colorless, hygroscopic viscous liquid which is used as an intermediate
in the manufacture of surface active agents, textiles specialties,
anti-rust compounds, petroleum demulsifiers, cement additives, waxes,
polishes etc. T.E.A is also used extensively in the manufacture of synthetic resins as a solvent for casein, shellac, dyes, etc.
